On behalf of the members of the Epworth Community Volunteer Firemen, Inc., I would like to thank everyone for making the 76th annual picnic and silent auction a success. We appreciate the support of the business community and everyone who attended, donated silent auction items, worked in a stand or contributed in any way. We finally had a beautiful night from start to finish. We thank the Epworth American Legion Post 650 for the raising of the flag and Kari Feldmann for a beautiful rendition of the national anthem. Once again, Mark Zalaznik did an outstanding job providing the music all evening. We are so grateful to the community for the continued support of the department. The silent auction continues to be a great hit and that is only possible because of the generous donors - Thank you! I also would like to publicly thank the members and families of the fire department who basically give up three days of the summer and more to make the event a success. It takes the work of the entire department and I am grateful for the wonderful volunteers we have and the team work demonstrated last week. See you all next year on July 11th for the 77th annual! The money raised at the annual picnic will be used by the Epworth Community Volunteer Firemen, Inc, to supplement the tax money we receive for training expenses, equipment costs, protective gear and other expenses not covered by our budget. We could not do it without your support and for that we are forever grateful. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of the summer!
