On behalf of the members of the Epworth Community Volunteer Firemen, Inc., I would like to thank everyone for making the 75th annual picnic and silent auction a success. We appreciate the support of the business community and everyone who attended, donated silent auction items, worked in a stand or contributed in any way. Once again, the weather tried to cause us problems but after a short delay, everything went well. We thank the Epworth American Legion Post 650 for the raising of the flag, our own Kelly Langel for singing the national anthem and Mark Zalaznik for providing the music all evening. We are so grateful to the community for the continued support of the department.

I also would like to publicly thank the members of the fire department who basically give up three days of the summer and more to make the event a success. It takes the work of the entire department and I am grateful for the wonderful volunteers we have and the team work demonstrated the past week. See you all next year on July 12th for the 76th annual!
