On Thursday, May 19th, 2011 at 0705 am, the Dubuque County E911 Communications Center received a report of a motor vehicle roll over accident with multiple patients on Old Highway Road between Epworth and Farley. Mutual Aid was immediately requested from Farley Fire and EMS and the Centralia-Peosta Ambulance. Upon arrival of Epworth Fire, the scene was located on Old Highway Road West of Hartbecke Road, firefighters found a one vehicle rollover accident with six patients. The patients were triaged at the scene and transported to the Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque and the Finley Hospital in Dubuque. All the occupants were conscious and talking with medics at the scene. Further information will not be released by the fire department. The Iowa State Patrol and the Dubuque County Sheriff's Department are handling the investigation of the incident. The fire department remained on scene for four hours and Old Highway Road remained closed to all traffic during that time period.
